Typical clients include physicians and lawyers and their closely held corporations, hotels, restaurants, real estate operators, contractors, gas stations, other professionals, entrepreneurs, and small businesses.
As a seasoned CPA with over 20 years of experience in the tax and accounting profession, he is passionate about helping individuals and businesses navigate complex tax issues with clarity and confidence. His advanced academic credentials — a master’s in taxation and a master’s in accountancy — have given him the expertise to resolve intricate tax disputes and effectively represent taxpayers before the IRS and the U.S. Tax Court.
He is admitted to the Bar of the United States Tax Court and is proud to be affiliated with several esteemed professional organizations, including:

Mayank is the founder and principal attorney at the Law Offices of Mayank Mohan, a law firm based in Santa Monica, California. Dr. Mohan’s legal practice is focused in areas of Business Law, Taxation and U.S. Immigration Law. He possesses deep experience in working as a legal advisor to startups and other businesses in a variety of industries like biotechnology, information technology and engineering. Before embarking on a journey to be an attorney, Mayank completed a Ph.D. in Operations Research Engineering (Decision and Risk Analysis) at the University of Southern California and worked as research consultant for organizations like the DHS, FEMA, USACE, EPRI (USA) and IIASA (Austria). He also served a management consultant for organizations in India and Singapore. These skills and experiences have facilitated his growth as a trusted legal advisor who brings a unique multidisciplinary approach needed by businesses today to overcome their challenges.
Within the broad area of Tax law, Mayank works with founders, investors, real estate developers and other business owners in all aspects of tax planning and tax disputes with the IRS. Mayank is also admitted to the U.S. Tax Court, allowing him to litigate the tax controversies if necessary.
